Do you have an exciting Preschool Program at Church?

Wow! It’s a question we wish we could all confidently say “yes” to… but can you? Answer these yes/no questions and keep track of your answers to find out where some improvement might be needed in order to impact these “little sinners” who are learning about church, God, friends, and social functions for the first time.

For a FREE worksheet that goes alongside with this post, follow the link at the bottom.

  1. Do the kids seem happy to come?
  2. Are the kids sad to leave?
  3. Do they tell their parents they had fun?
  4. Are the kids and volunteers smiling during church?
  5. Are your volunteers excited to help?
  6. Do you feel excited to see their reaction to the activities?
  7. Do you ever show a video lesson, use a puppet, or dress up to tell the Bible story?
  8. Are new families actively coming to church and attending for long-term?
  9. Do you generally have no behavior issues with the kids?
  10. Do you teach the Bible?

Tally up your ‘yes’ answers and let’s evaluate where you’re currently at:

0-3 ‘Yes’ Answers | It’s not easy to say this but I’ll have to say it anyways: “Yikes”… you don’t have an exciting preschool Program at church. The good thing about being at rock bottom means you have only up to go from here! Check over the questions you answered “no” to and work on fixing some of those areas. Take some time writing down those weaknesses and pray for God to give you guidance in how to improve.

4-6 ‘Yes’ Answers | Sounds like you’re halfway there! Don’t just be livin’ on a prayer… take some time to see what you can improve on. Get some feedback from parents and volunteers. Let them know you’re trying to create an exciting Preschool KC for the little people.

7-9 ‘Yes’ Answers | Wow! That’s great! Sounds like you have an exciting program that is well on its way to perfect health. See where you’re lacking (i.e., volunteers, families, kids), find a pattern to it, and focus on working on the little things.
P.S. If you put ‘no’ as an answer to the final question: “Do you teach the Bible?”, I highly suggest working on this more. Otherwise you’ll have an exciting preschool babysitting program and not an exciting preschool Church.

10 ‘Yes’ Answers | WHAT IS YOUR SECRET TO KEEPING EVERYTHING AT A 10??? Just kidding! That’s awesome! God gets the glory for all that you do! Don’t forget to celebrate your volunteer team who are faithfully serving.
